Y2 – Y3 – Y4 – Y5
Trial Group (Basic)
Trial structure for Y2–Y5 students who are not yet confident in Italian.
We’ll assess whether they can benefit from learning in a supportive group environment, with 1-hour lessons focused on building confidence, early listening and speaking, and playful exposure to the language.
We may propose alternative paths after the trial if needed.
How Our Class Works

Who it's for
This group is for children who don’t speak Italian and understand only a little — or who say a few words but aren’t yet ready for an all-Italian class.
It’s ideal as a first step for bilingual families, mixed-language households, or anyone starting Italian from scratch in a warm and supportive setting.

A gentle and playful approach
We use songs, stories, visual materials, movement, and routine-based activities to create a relaxed learning atmosphere.
The teacher speaks both English and Italian, supporting children as they become familiar with the sounds, rhythm, and feel of the language.
Everything is designed to be playful, engaging, and age-appropriate.

Building confidence in language
Children begin to recognise sounds, gestures, key expressions, and simple vocabulary.
We encourage participation through songs, actions, and structured but gentle repetition.
Little by little, children start giving first answers, trying out short phrases, and feeling proud of their progress — even if just one word at a time.
