Parole in Viaggio is a creative writing and reading course designed for learners who already have a basic command of Italian and wish to use the language more naturally, confidently and expressively.
It is particularly suited to learners who feel they have reached a plateau at the intermediate level — that point where progress slows and it becomes harder to move forward. The course is designed to help you break through that stage and begin progressing towards an advanced level.
The course explores language through short literary texts, guided group discussions, and creative writing activities, in a space that encourages experimentation and authentic communication. Texts are selected at the right level, giving learners access to meaningful Italian literature without feeling overwhelmed, and helping them build vocabulary, intuition and confidence step by step.
The course also includes one personalised one-to-one session and free access to Italian cultural events (film nights, readings, mini-talks), offering more immersion beyond classroom activities.
The course is led by Cosima Ticali, journalist, writer, and co-founder of the cultural magazine Weltlit.com.
Throughout the journey, each participant will develop their own short personal narrative, refined over time with individual feedback and support.
Cosima’s guided exercises help learners internalise new expressions, explore different writing styles, and gradually bring their Italian closer to an advanced level — one clear, confident step at a time.

If you are interested in a more individual approach, one-to-one creative writing sessions with Cosima can be arranged. Italian native speakers are also welcome—Cosima will be happy to design a dedicated pathway tailored to their specific goals, interests, and writing style, with personalised readings, films, and recommendations.

How Our Courses Work

Reserve your place.
Click “Pay Deposit to Secure Your Spot” (more than 2 weeks before the start of the course) or "Pay Now" (within 2 weeks from the start of the course). Before making any payment, please confirm that you have read and agreed to the Terms and Conditions.

Course confirmation. Two weeks before an active course begins, we will confirm final enrolments. In some cases, we may wait a little longer for students to confirm, but we'll keep you posted.
- If the course is in-person and 6 or more students have signed up, it will run as planned. You will then have the full two-week period to settle the remaining balance (which will be invoiced to you).
- If fewer than 6 enrol, we will wait a little longer to see if other students join. We may also offer an online alternative. There may also be a change in price, but you will be notified and free to decide. If you choose not to continue with the alternative format, your deposit will be fully refunded.
