Who it's for

👩‍🎓👨‍🎓 Y8–Y9 Students Preparing for GCSE

Students in Years 8 and 9 who already understand and speak Italian well can join this class to strengthen writing, spelling, grammar and reading. Lessons introduce exam-style tasks gradually, helping learners move from confident speaking to accurate, structured written Italian.

Activities focus on building correct sentences, organising ideas clearly, and applying grammar with increasing precision. This level is designed for strong speakers who are now ready to develop literacy for GCSE success. If you are unsure whether this is the right stage, a quick assessment is recommended before booking.

A fully Italian environment

🇮🇹 All in Italian

Lessons are conducted fully in Italian to create a natural, immersive learning environment. English is not used unless absolutely necessary, allowing students to engage with the language as they would in real communication.

At this stage, learners develop their reading, writing and grammar directly through Italian, using authentic input, clear models and guided practice. The focus is on building accuracy and confidence through meaningful use, rather than translating or memorising rules.

Developing the skills needed for GCSE

✍️ Building accuracy through real use

Lessons combine short texts, guided writing, grammar practice and structured speaking activities based on authentic Italian input. Learning remains interactive, but with a stronger focus on applying vocabulary in clear, correct sentences rather than simply recognising it.

Students work on writing longer and more accurate phrases, improving spelling, verb forms and sentence structure through models, feedback and targeted tasks. Reading becomes a tool for learning how Italian works, helping learners turn spoken fluency into accurate, confident written Italian suited for GCSE preparation.
