This course is designed for learners who already communicate comfortably in Italian but want to go beyond safe, familiar language.
If you can express yourself but feel your Italian is limited in range or depth, this is where you start to refine and expand it.
This course builds on the foundations of Level 1, focusing on style, voice, and more advanced forms of expression.

Where and When
Choose how you attend
(both options follow the same programme, with the same teacher and materials):
In person (Cambridge):
Where: Chesterton Community College, Cambridge
Schedule: Tuesdays, 6pm–8pm
Duration: 10 sessions (20 hours total)
Dates: October 6, 13, 20; November 3, 10, 17, 24; December 1, 8, 15. No lesson during half-term (October 27).
Online:
Where: Zoom (live sessions, not pre-recorded lessons)
Schedule: Fridays, 7pm-9pm
Duration: 10 sessions (20 hours total)
Dates: October 9, 16, 23; November 6, 13, 20, 27; December 4, 11, 18. No lesson during half-term (October 30).

What level of Italian do I need?
This course is designed for strong intermediate learners at approximately B1+/B2 level. You should already be able to communicate comfortably in Italian and understand a range of texts, even if you still rely on familiar vocabulary and sentence structures. If you are unsure, contact us for a quick assessment.

Do I need previous creative-writing experience?
No formal writing experience is required. You will work with structured prompts and guided activities, but the course will encourage you to experiment more independently with style, voice and complex ideas.

Do I need to have completed Level 1 first?
No. Level 2 is suitable both for students who have completed Level 1 and for learners with equivalent language skills and experience. What matters is that you already have a solid foundation and are ready to develop more precise, flexible and expressive Italian.

What kind of feedback will I receive?
You will receive detailed, personalised feedback throughout the course, helping you refine your vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure and style. The course also includes an individual online review session dedicated to your final piece.

How our courses work
1. Choose a Course
Select the course that suits your level and schedule.
3. Course Confirmation
Around two weeks before the course begins, we confirm whether the course will run as planned and send final details to all participants.
If enough students have enrolled, the course will go ahead and you will receive instructions for settling the remaining balance.
If fewer students have enrolled, we may wait a little longer to allow additional registrations or offer an alternative format (for example online or shorter lessons).
In that case, you will be notified and free to decide whether to continue. Deposits are fully refundable.
2. Reserve Your Place
